Getting It Done – Stop Being Afraid Of Work, Guys!

17 September 2009 | Vadym

What’s the BIGGEST obstacle people face when getting into Internet marketing?

I’ll save you the trouble of guessing and tell you…

Taking action.

And I must admit, for the first year of my IM career, I was one of these people.

I was a part of the mass who was AFRAID to take action for many reasons.

I was afraid to fail. I was afraid that I was doing all the work incorrectly, and therefore, for no reason.

And many more reasons.

And then I took a couple of steps, and over the course of the next month… TAUGHT myself to take action.

Because you can teach yourself, guys, I promise.

The only way you’ll succeed in IM is if you take action. Staying in one spot is simply STUPID. You’re better off going to work at McDonalds than sitting around, with your thumbs up your bum.

So I’ve written a little report for you.

It includes the 4 steps I took in order to begin taking action effectively, every single day!

Check it out here:

Getting It Done Report

Enjoy, and PASS IT ON to anyone you know that has trouble taking action! They’ll thank you for helping them!

Improve Your Rankings On Your Articles.

11 September 2009 | Vadym

Hey all,

I had a question yesterday.

“Vadym,

I wrote 10 articles targeting 5 keywords. Each article came up on the first page… but NEVER in the 1st place! Usually 8th, or 9th!

What do I do?”
Well… Article directories work exactly the same as any other kind of website.

Just INCREASE BACKLINKS!

Remember all of those nice little web 2.0 properties I gave you?

Use them.

Make sure that your anchor tag to the article is the one for the keyword, and get some nice big backlinks!

It works the same way for the articles that STAY on top for the keyword. You know, the ones that were written last year, and haven’t been changed yet.

If you take a look, you’ll see that they’ve got some solid backlinks built to them!

And that’s that!

How To Make Sure A Keyword Is INSTANTLY Worth Your While!

9 September 2009 | Vadym

Howdy!

Today, I thought I’d share a keyword research techinque I personally use, and have proven to be flawless thus far.

Now, this may be new to some, and not so new to others, but the TOP way to decide if a keyword is profitable is to spy on the Pay-Per-Click ads of the keyword. Basically, leveraging PPC marketers in order to get a one-up on the competition. After all, we’re working smarter, not harder, right?

Obviously, if there are ads constantly being shown for a keyword, or better yet, the SAME ads are being shown for the keyword… well, they must be turning quite the profit, eh?

So, let’s get to it!

Step 1: Go to SpyFu.

Step 2: Type any keyword and hit the “Search” button.

Step 3: Look at the 2nd table with the title “Ads”.

Now, these ads are exactly a MONTH OLD. They have been up there a month ago, for this keyword :)

So… now you:

Step 4: Go to Google, and search for this keyword.

Step 5: Cross-reference the ads, and see if any are similar.

If a couple of the ads are the same, obviously, this means that the ads have been up for a while, and have been profitable for the PPC marketer.

So, that’s the entire method! Simple, yet it works!

And it works exceptionally well!

So enjoy!

You’re Ranking Your Supporting Pages!

30 May 2009 | Vadym

I’ve been getting a couple of emails about this, so I want to clear this up.

There have always been TWO types of pages that you’re creating.

The supporting pages like Ezine articles, Weebly and Squidoo props, Digg bookmarkers, etc, are the pages which bring the traffic in. THESE are the pages who borrow authority from the website itself, and RANK for the keywords.

Your money page, on the other hand, doesn’t HAVE to rank anywhere, ever! Sure, it’s great if it does, and eventually, it will, but you don’t HAVE to target your money page to rank anywhere! This is the page which the traffic pages bring traffic to in order to convert them into commissions.

So forget trying to rank your no-age, no-authority domain for a 200K competition keyword! You’ll get a hernia trying. Leverage the power of the web 2.0 properties, bookmarking sites and article directories to do this work for you!

$1000/Month Campaign Breakdown – It’s EASY!

20 May 2009 | Vadym

For anyone who’s getting a little demotivated in their affiliate marketing efforts, I wanted to break down just how EASY it is to build a $1000/month campaign.

The commission on an average $47 product is $32 per sale. So you need about 33 sales in one month.

The average conversion ratio is 1:40. This means for every 40 hops, 1 will convert. So you need about 1300 hops.

Your landing page, if optimized even a bit, should have a CTR of 40%. Meaning 2/5 people should click through to the merchant page. So you need about 3300 unique visitors per month.

THATS IT!

It’s that easy! I can get 3300 UVs from dominating 4-5 keywords, provided that I find the keywords through the Micro Niche Finder. Generally, it won’t take you more than 10 low-competition keywords to get that traffic. And that’s it!

A $1000/month campaign isn’t hard to create. And when you create a couple, you’ll start popping one out every week. And since the beauty of bum marketing is that we don’t have to do too much maintenance for our campaigns AFTER we’ve achieved the rankings, you’ll achieve your $500 days in a few months!

Now go make some money!

Internet Marketing Secret – Emotional Buttons And How To Push Them

19 May 2009 | Vadym

I’ve spoken about emotional buttons on numerous occasions, but without much detail. This is exactly one of those topics which are rarely talked about. The gurus know about them, and use them, but tend to keep them for themselves.

But I’m supposed to be teaching you about affiliate marketing and ALL aspects of it, right?

So, emotional buttons. First off, what are they?

An emotional button can be anything that will trigger some sort of emotion from your audience. If your overweight, calling attention to the fact you’re overweight will trigger an emotional button.

Seen the late night informercials?

“Tired of sitting around being a loser? Did your girlfriend leave you for a guy that DOES have a successful career? Are you feeling useless? Then study at our University!”

Yep, emotional buttons.

What’s the point of them?

Pretty simple. If I tell a fat person they’re fat, list things they’re missing out on, there’s a 90% chance I’ve hit a painful topic when they DO feel bad about. So I’ve connected with them. And when you connect with a person, a trust develops. So do many more sales.

So now, all I have to do is tell them “you know how I know how you feel? Because I’ve been there! But THIS PRODUCT helped!”

More subtly, of course, but the idea is there. You got them mad, sad, scared, ashamed, whatever. Now all you have to do is show the product you’re promoting as the SOLUTION to those fears. And that’s it. That’s the sale.

It’s that easy. So learn to use it, and skyrocket your sales.

How many monthly searches should I aim for?

18 May 2009 | Vadym

I get this question at least once per day.

“Vadym, I know that we should be looking for little-competition terms, but what kind of searches monthly should I get to make it worth my while?”

My answer is, I don’t know. It’s UP TO YOU!

How many searches per month should a keyword have to make it worth your TIME and EFFORT that you spent on it?

Me, personally, it’s worth my time and effort to take 300+ searches a month keywords. Some, 1000 or less isn’t acceptable.

It all depends on how many you think are worth YOUR time to spend on.

The Motivation Section.

I’ll be posting here once in a while. If you ever feel de-motivated, need a kick in the ass, etc, read a post here. It should get you moving.

Internet Marketing Secret – Understand Your Audience Pt. 2

17 May 2009 | Vadym

So… how do you figure out your audience?

Easy. You find places where your audience gathers, and read.

The trick is to find the right places.

I personally always use forums. Forums are the best, because people feel a sense of being anonymous behind their username, and spill all the beans. We’re cool with this, because we just want to know what makes them tick, not get blackmailing materials.

But once again, the TRICK is to use the proper forums.

Take the acne niche. 99% of the people would go to an acne forum.

WRONG.

Go to a TEEN forum and search for ‘acne’! Why?

Because in THAT forum you’ll see the posts about “Johnny not asking me out because of my zit tonight!” or “I can only go to the movies with friends because it’s dark there!”

You won’t find this stuff on an acne forum. You won’t find the EMOTIONAL BUTTONS.

But when you do, you can say something like this on your landing page:

“I’ve been where you have. I know exactly what you’ve been through. Looking in the mirror every day, wondering if I’m the ugliest girl in my school. Not being to ask out the guy I’ve liked for months because of sudden zit outbreaks when I finally have the courage. Not being able to go to dances, parties, etc, because of the digusting white bumps on my face.

And after countless methods, creams, and shots, I finally found it.”

See what I did? I stated a couple of examples, grabbing 90% of the public. Making a connection with them.

And when you connect with them, they trust you. And when they trust you, they’ll buy exactly what you tell them to.

And that’s one of the secrets of Internet Marketing :)
